Behind the Design

Picture a freezing-cold Scottish uplift bus in puddle-ridden Innerleithen, with backsides wetter than a dolphin with a bladder infection. We were busy testing fully waterproof prototypes but—ironically enough—kept ending up drenched in sweat. Enter Binni—fastest pensioner in the UK—who pointed out the real pain point: a soggy bottom. His insight? Make the backside waterproof and let the front breathe. Throw in an eco-friendly DWR treatment, and these hybrid pants emerged to keep your rear dry without turning you into a walking, talking Swedish sauna.
